Florence

Welcome To Florence, Y’all

Located less than 20 minutes southwest of downtown Cincinnati and just a stone’s throw from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG), the Kentucky town of Florence isn’t shy about welcoming visitors. In fact, its most popular landmark is a water tower on the side of the highway into town that’s painted with the friendly phrase, “Florence, Y’all.”

This sign is so central to the town’s identity that in 2020, the local baseball team changed its name to the Florence Y’alls. Of course, there’s more to Florence than just a water tower and a baseball team. The famous B-Line Bourbon Experience runs through Florence and just outside town, amateur paleontologists flock to Big Bone Lick State Park, known as the “birthplace of American paleontology.”
