You can’t miss the Cincy Region in the summertime. The vibes are high, music pours through the streets and festivals are aplenty. This July is filled with fireworks, live music, great food, sports and so much more. Here is a brief look at our lineup of events occurring in the region this month.
Celebrate Independence Day
Newport Blast
Come and celebrate Independence Day a day early on July 3rd at the inaugural Newport Blast event, located at Newport on the Levee. Guests can expect a hot dog eating contest, games, live music, food, bounce houses and a spectacular drone and firework show presented by Rozzi Fireworks.
Red, White and Boom
Get your tickets for the annual 4th of July celebration, Red, White and Boom! Join John Morris Russell and the Cincinnati Pops for an evening of patriotic tunes and post-concert fireworks at Riverbend Music Center.

Dust off your kilt and wear your families’ tartan colors as we celebrate Celtic pride this summer. The annual Guinness Cincinnati Celtic Festival takes place on July 12 - 14 at The Banks in Downtown Cincinnati. This family friendly event will feature live music by bands like The Hitchhikers and Dulahan, bangers and mash (sausage and mashed potatoes), beer and a variety of activities for everyone.

Glier’s Goettafest
While Cincinnati is known for our famous Skyline Chili (try it!), there is a beloved Cincy Region delicacy we are not as known for, goetta (pronounced, get-ta). Created here by Germanic settlers in the 1800’s, goetta is a breakfast sausage made primarily of pork, beef, and whole grain steel-cut oats. We love this unique breakfast delicacy so much we created a two-weekend festival to celebrate it. Glier’s Goettafest takes place July 27 – 28 and August 1 – 4 at the Newport Festival Park along the Ohio River. Guests will enjoy food, beer, live music and activities for kids.
Come to the festival early or stay late and explore Newport on the Levee with your family. Featuring the Newport Aquarium, shop at Trade (local artisans), catch a movie at AMC or play games like Squid Game at Immersive Gamebox!
