Special Events Happening Over the 4th of July Weekend in Cincinnati

From professional sports and live music to fireworks and family-friendly festivals, there are tons of holiday events happening across the Cincy Region to celebrate Summer and America250.

Independence Day Celebrations with Fireworks in the Cincy Region

Looking for fireworks to celebrate Independence Day? Add these events to your weekend plans.

  • 2026 Cincy Blast - America's 250th Birthday Celebration (7/3) - Ohio Riverfront (Cincinnati and Newport, KY) - The Cincy Blast kicks off the holiday weekend Cincy style with a Reds, White and Blue day of celebration! This collection of family-friendly festivities includes riverfront celebrations and a spectacular fireworks & drone show from Rozzi Fireworks to close out the day. The fun begins at 2:00 with the All-American Birthday Bash from Cincinnati Parks, and continues with America's 250th Birthday at Newport on the Levee and the Newport Aquarium BLAST. Complete the day with the Cincinnati Reds v. the Baltimore Orioles, and enjoy fireworks from both sides of the River or along an evening cruise with BB Riverboats. 
  • All-American Birthday Bash & Operation Thank You (7/3) - Sawyer Point & Yeatman's Cove - Operation Thank You is joining the All-American Birthday Bash & Car Show, featuring a Veteran Village, a VA Claims Van, and static military displays, followed by a spectacular fireworks show. It’s an unforgettable day of cars, music, community, and celebration, so you’re encouraged to come out to Sawyer Point and be part of the action from start to finish.
  • Kemba Credit Union's All-American Bash (7/3 - 7/4) - West Chester Township - Only 30 minutes north of downtown Cincinnati, the two-day event features fireworks, live performances and a national headliner that will keep the crowd buzzing. Expect the sky to light up, the music to build and the energy to carry through both nights.
  • 4th of July Celebration (7/4) - Washington Park - Join Washington Park on the 4th of July for live music, a fantastic fireworks show, and tons of red, white and blue fun. Enjoy kids' activities, games throughout the park and food from local vendors. The fireworks show will take place after sunset. Arrive early to save your seat and enjoy the festivities.
  • MadTree's Red, White & Blue Ash (7/4) - Summit Park - Celebrate Independence Day at Summit Park with a free concert, local food trucks and restaurants, a MadTree Beer Garden, a variety of carnival rides and games, a business expo and much more. At 10 p.m. you will be dazzled as Arthur Rozzi Pyrotechnics ignite the night sky and Observation Tower with a jaw-dropping fireworks show!
  • Red, White and BOOM (7/4) - Riverbend Music Center - The Cincinnati Pops’ annual July 4 celebration continues in 2026 with a star-spangled evening honoring our nation’s rich musical heritage and the service of veterans and active-duty military. Under the baton of John Morris Russell, The Pops welcome powerhouse Broadway star Mandy Gonzalez, acclaimed for her roles in" Hamilton," "In the Heights" and "Wicked," alongside a special appearance by members of the United States Army. Before the music starts at 8 p.m., your fun begins at 6:30 p.m. with activities including Salsa dancing and lessons from Salsa on the Square, as well as a Family Fun Zone with crafts, face painting, Music Lab and more. The entire evening is capped off with a spectacular fireworks show by the award-winning Rozzi Fireworks.
  • Cincinnati Reds Fireworks Night (7/4) - Great American Ball Park - Cheer on the Cincinnati Reds as they face the Baltimore Orioles, then stick around for a spectacular fireworks display after the game. The fireworks begin approximately 15 minutes after each game ends.
