
Fourth of July in the Cincinnati region is booming with fun! Below is a list of event highlights from fireworks and festivals to parades and parties to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday. We've also included some other fun ways to enjoy a summer holiday getaway.
July 2, 2021

- Cincinnati Reds Fireworks Friday – Watch the Reds take on the Chicago Cubs at Great American Ball Park, then stick around for the post-game fireworks display over the Ohio River. The series continues July 3 (with a "Super Saturday" patriotic T-shirt giveaway) and July 4 (with Family Sunday activities for kids and Military Appreciation Day) if you want to make it a baseball weekend!
July 3, 2021

- LaRosa's Balloon Glow – Head to Coney Island for fun in the sun followed by hot air balloons lighting up the night sky and fireworks.
- Red, White and Kaboom – Similar to last year's scaled-down event, a special 20-minute fireworks show that is higher and easier to view throughout the city of Fairfield will be happening on at 10 p.m.
- Independence Day Cruise – Step aboard BB Riverboats for an All-American dining cruise on the Ohio River. The riverboat travels to Coney Island for the Balloon Glow festivities.
- Metamora Fireman's Festival – Chow down on hamburgers and hot dogs and enjoy drinks in the beer garden before the 6 p.m. parade and fireworks at dusk.
- New Richmond Freedom Fest – This two-day celebration includes artisans, vendors, entertainment and the Dead Low Beer Garden and concludes with a Rozzi's Famous Fireworks display along the Ohio River on July 4.
- Independence Celebration – Fireworks, fun and festivities are the name of the game in the City of Independence. The day includes a car show, parade, live music, food trucks and more.
- Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks – Tower Park in Fort Thomas will be hopping with live music all day long and fireworks in the evening. The day begins with a Kids Fun Run, Firecracker 5K and a parade.
July 4, 2021

- Red, White and BOOM with Cincinnati Pops – John Morris Russell leads the Cincinnati Pops in a showcase of American favorites at Riverbend Music Center, followed by a post-concert fireworks display.
- Red, White and Blue Ash – While the annual event is holding off on the usual live music and fesitval entertainment for another year, fireworks will light up the sky starting at 10 p.m.
- Montgomery Independence Day Festival & Parade – The parade begins at 10 a.m. and is followed by a festival filled with live music, food vendors, magic shows, a scavenger hunt and more.
- Harrison's 4th of July Celebration – Kick off an evening of family-friendly fun with a parade at 4 p.m. followed by live music, food, face painting, a cornhole tournament and fireworks.
- Hamilton's 4th of July – The annual parade starts at Butler County Fairgrounds at 3 p.m., ending in downtown Hamilton with a theme of "Celebrating Freedom and Hamilton."
- Fireworks at Kings Island – Enjoy a 4th of July fireworks display at the amusement park at 10 p.m. The park stays open until midnight to enjoy even more thrills.
- Stricker's Grove 4th of July Fireworks – Spend the day riding rides then enjoy the fireworks display at night.

Enjoy the Great Outdoors

There are plenty of other ways to relax and reconnect with friends and family in the great outdoors this holiday weekend, too. Grab some takeout and a frisbee and head to one of the many parks in the region that offer majestic views and ample green space. Stroll through downtown Cincinnati and see how many murals you can spot along the way. Not in downtown? There are more than 180 Artworks murals throughout the region to enjoy. Make reservations to enjoy a celebratory meal on a lovely patio. Or rent a Red Bike and breeze along the riverfront areas or throughtout the surrounding communities.
Summer Fun in the Cincinnati Region

Whether you're spending time with the whole family or just on a couple's adventure, here are some refreshing and reenergizing activities to consider for your Fourth of July getaway as you rediscover the Cincinnati region.
- Consider some of these can't-miss things to do in the region
- Let the kids explore, play or cool off at these kid-friendly attractions
- Spend the day exploring the Ark Encounter including petting animals at the Ararat Ridge Zoo and ziplining at Eagle Aerial Adventures
- Shop for goods and food at historic Findlay Market. Grab a meal from one of many vendors and have a seat in the outdoor biergarten.
- Set sail aboard BB Riverboats on a sightseeing or dining cruise.
- Create your own beer adventure at some of the local craft breweries.
- Have fun without spending a dime at some of these free attractions.
