Visitors can explore the Black Music Walk of Fame, honoring legendary artists and the city’s lasting influence on American music culture, or experience iconic performances at the outdoor Riverbend Music Center, with a giant lawn for lounging and dancing. Throughout the summer, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra brings live performances outdoors with Brady Block Parties happening across Greater Cincinnati, while Broadway in Cincinnati’s season closes the summer out with productions like Suffs and The Lion King, and Cincinnati Opera’s upcoming season includes the debut of Lalovavi, an Afrofuturist opera launching the company’s Black Opera Project. Together, they show how deeply music and performance are woven into everyday life across the Cincy Region.
