About the FIFA Club World Cup

The FIFA Club World Cup is an international soccer tournament that brings together the top club teams from each of the six continental confederations, along with the host nation’s champion. It crowns the world’s best club team, offering fans a rare chance to see elite clubs from different regions compete on the global stage. This exciting series of matches gives fans from across the globe the chance to see 32 of the world's best teams compete across the USA - including 4 thrilling matches in Cincinnati!

 

Cincinnati will host the tournament’s second match on June 15 at Noon ET, showcasing a clash between 33-time German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich and Auckland City FC of New Zealand, the record 12-time winners of the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Champions League.

 

Mexican side CF Pachuca, champions of the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup, will take on 17-time Austrian Bundesliga winners FC Red Bull Salzburg on Wednesday, June 18 at 6 p.m. ET.

 

Cincinnati will welcome another German giant on Saturday, June 21, as Borussia Dortmund faces off against South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns FC, 17-time champions of the Premier Soccer League. Kickoff is set for Noon ET.

 

In Cincinnati’s final Club World Cup match, Borussia Dortmund returns to TQL Stadium to meet Ulsan HD FC, the three-time defending champions of South Korea’s K League 1. The Group F finale kicks off at 3 p.m. ET on Wednesday, June 25.

​TQL Stadium, located in Cincinnati's historic West End neighborhood, is a state-of-the-art, soccer-specific venue that serves as the home of MLS FC Cincinnati. Opened in 2021, the stadium boasts a seating capacity of 26,000, including premium club areas and The Bailey, a dedicated supporters' section known for its vibrant atmosphere. ​TQL Stadium offers a dynamic fan experience that goes beyond the pitch, featuring an array of concessions and amenities.

The stadium's concession lineup gives fans the chance to experience the Cincy Region's unique cuisine, including local institutions like LaRosa's Pizza and Skyline Chili. Beer lovers can sip on local brews from Rhinegeist, Christian Moerlein, Fretboard and more.

  • Cash-free: TQL is entirely cash-free! All major credit cards are accepted, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Designed with inclusivity in mind, TQL Stadium offers many accessibility features to ensure all guests have a comfortable experience.

  • Wheelchair and Low Mobility Seating: Available on each level, providing comparable sightlines and pricing. ​

  • Accessible Entrances: All gates are equipped with easily accessible lines to minimize wait times for guests with disabilities.

  • Assisted Listening Devices: Complimentary devices are available at the Guest Experience Center behind Section E6. 

  • Closed Captioning: Provided on the auxiliary videoboard in the southeast corner and via the FC Cincinnati app. ​

  • Sensory Accommodations: Sensory bags and a dedicated sensory room are available for guests who may benefit from a quieter environment. ​

  • Service Animals: Properly identified service animals are welcome throughout the stadium.

Getting Around the Cincy Region

Cincinnati Metro

Metro is greater Cincinnati's public bus transit system. Metro operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, offering 38 local-service routes and 9 express routes.

 

GEST Carts

GEST Carts is a free electric cart service. All you have to do is download the app and request a ride - no cost at all. This is an eco and budget friendly way to get around the Cincy Region. 

 

Cincinnati's Streetcar - The Connector

The Connector is Cincinnati's modern, electric streetcar system. The fleet, including five streetcars, travels a 3.6-mile loop that connects the city's riverfront to The Banks, downtown, and Over-the-Rhine. This is also a free service!

 

Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky (TANK)

Flying into CVG for a match? Skip the hassle and ride the TANK Airporter. For only $2, it's the fastest and most affordable way to travel between Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) and downtown Cincinnati. Other routes are also available, connecting many parts of Northern Kentucky to Cincinnati's downtown core. 

 

Southbank Shuttle

The fast and convenient Southbank Shuttle runs between the Northern Kentucky river city corridor to downtown Cincinnati for just $2. 

 

Walking and Biking

Cincinnati is easily explored on foot or via rentable Red Bikes. The following pedestrian bridges connect Northern Kentucky to downtown:

  • 1. Purple People Bridge (fully pedestrian – no cars)
  • 2. John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge (a historic “singing” bridge that was the prototype for the Brooklyn Bridge)
  • 3. Taylor-Southgate Bridge
  • 4. Clay Wade Bailey Bridge
