As part of an official partnership with Cincinnati Pride, the Cincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau is hosting its inaugural “Lunch, Learn & Vibe” speaker series to move Cincinnati Pride Week beyond the celebration and toward education and empowerment.

Local and national speakers will highlight the free event with discussions around the power and influence of the LGBTQ community and whether Cincinnati is prepared to welcome LGBTQ visitors. The two-day speaker series will take place from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on June 20 and 21 at Union Hall.

“Through the ‘Lunch, Learn & Vibe’ event, we are raising awareness and understanding of the LGBTQ community by creating a space for purposeful conversations,” said Julie Calvert, President and CEO of the Cincinnati USA CVB. “When we establish equity in events and experiences in the Cincinnati region, we continue to make Cincinnati open and welcoming for all.”

The CVB has established an intentional partnership with Cincinnati Pride via the CVB’s Vibe platform to broaden efforts centered around diversity and inclusion. This initiative, in conjunction with the CVB’s recently expanded efforts surrounding diversity sales and inclusion, is guided by travel industry trends that point toward strong growth and opportunity in the LGBTQ market.

According to a report by the United Nations World Tourism Organization, it is estimated that the LGBTQ community represents more than $65 billion in tourism spending, underscoring the importance of establishing authentic relationships and experiences to further position the Cincinnati region as a first choice for all visitors.
