The Cincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the entire Cincinnati region, will welcome thousands to the Queen City next week for the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc.’s 137th Annual Session, held Sept. 4-8 at the Duke Energy Convention Center.

The National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. (NBCUSA, Inc.) is the nation’s oldest and largest organization of African American Baptists for spiritual renewal and matters of church business, and is expected to bring nearly 10,000 attendees to Cincinnati. This year’s Annual Session will mark nine years since the organization last gathered in Ohio for the 128th Annual Session held in Cincinnati in 2008.

“The Cincinnati USA hospitality community is delighted to welcome back the NBCUSA, Inc. for what promises to be a memorable and meaningful Annual Session,” said Dan Lincoln, president and CEO of the Cincinnati USA CVB. “We, as a community, are proud to serve as a destination where distinguished groups like NBCUSA, Inc. can share their values and beliefs, and where groups of all races and religions feel welcome.”

Guided by the overarching theme, “Envisioning the Future Exceptionally,” the NBCUSA, Inc. Annual Session will bring together the boards, auxiliaries and member churches of the Convention to build on its mission of preaching, teaching and healing in the name of Jesus Christ. In addition to addressing the business of the Convention, the 137th Annual Session will serve as an opportunity for attendees to connect, learn, share and grow in their faith.

Along with its National Parent Body Meeting, four auxiliaries and four departments will assemble in concurrent sessions during the course of the week. Attendees will have the opportunity to convene nightly at the Hyatt Regency Hotel beginning at 10 p.m. for Late Night Worship Services, which are open to the public.
