The Cincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau, the region’s primary destination marketing organization, aims to increase corporate sales by expanding its team with the hiring of new Senior Sales Manager of Corporate Markets Stephanie Rork.
“The major corporations based in Cincinnati help set the foundation for opportunities within this market, which opens the door to Stephanie to bring new, valuable business to our region,” said Julie Calvert, president and CEO of the Cincinnati USA CVB.
Rork has built a reputation for building corporate group revenue, rates and service in both Indianapolis and Greater Cincinnati throughout her 25-year career in the hotel industry. She brings years of experience in leading teams as a Director of Sales and Marketing and recently earned the prestigious Hilton National Director of Sales and Business Development of the Year award.
CVB Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Andy Conklin commented, “Bringing Stephanie on board adds a layer of experience and expertise in the corporate market that will help us attract some of the nation’s top companies to host meetings and events here in Cincinnati.”
Most recently, Rork was the Area Sales and Marketing Manager for The Cincinnatian, Curio Collection by Hilton, Homewood Suites and Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown Cincinnati. She also has held senior sales positions with Hyatt Hotels, Intercontinental Hotel Group, Marriott and Hilton. Her work included developing new revenue-building initiatives, collaborating with Fortune 500 and Blue-Chip companies, partnering with Visit Indy, meetNKY and the Cincinnati USA CVB and developing marketing and social media programs to drive revenue and loyalty.
“Joining the CVB’s team is an exciting opportunity to promote this vibrant community and all of its new developments,” Rork said. “We have extremely competitive and beautiful hotels, first class service, state of the art facilities, culture, culinary and entertainment choices to suit every group’s budget and needs. I look forward to working closely with the hotels, convention center, and attractions to make Cincinnati the destination of choice for corporate conventions and meetings.”
