Cincinnati’s signature immersive art event is gaining national attention once again. BLINK has been included in AFAR magazine's newly released list of the top cultural events across the United States to experience in 2026, placing the festival alongside milestone celebrations and marquee arts moments in cities such as Philadelphia, Santa Fe, Austin, and beyond.

In its annual guide highlighting reasons to travel throughout the year, AFAR spotlights events that showcase local creativity, culture, and community. For October, the publication names BLINK as Ohio’s featured experience, calling it the nation’s largest immersive art event and noting its scale, artistic ambition, and regional footprint.

AFAR describes BLINK as transforming more than 30 city blocks across Cincinnati, Covington, and Newport into a four-night open-air gallery filled with large-scale projection mapping, interactive light installations, and monumental murals created by artists from around the world. The article also highlights the BLINK parade, which launches the event with illuminated floats, puppets, and performers, setting the tone for a weekend that draws millions of visitors across the Cincy Region.

Scheduled for October 8–12, 2026, BLINK continues to serve as a powerful example of how public art, place-making, and community collaboration can elevate a destination’s national profile while delivering meaningful economic and cultural impact.
